What Do I Get w/ My CodeBot for Delphi Subscription?

CodeBot for Delphi (CB/D) is a monthly subscription that includes

  • The product license for CodeBot for Delphi (the IDE plugin)
  • A monthly allotment of CodeBot Server Credits to fund your AI usage.

CBD Subscriptions come in different sizes to accomodate for different needs for AI use, by including fewer or more CBS Credits, depending on the size. The only difference is how much AI usage is included with the package; there are no differences in features or capabilities, and no technical limitations on the smaller SKUs.

If you find you need more credits than included in your subscription, you always have two options:

  1. Buy a standalone credit package a one-time top-off (see also the Billing FAQ)
  2. Switch to a larger monthly package, either immediately ot your next renewal.

If you decide to upgrade to a bigger package immediately, your monthly billing cycle will reset, and you will be billed for the new larger package right away. It will automatically renew one month from now.

If you decide to upgrade at the next renewal cycle, nothing changes for now, but next month you will have opre credits.

You can also downgrade to a smaller package starting with the next renewal, in the event that you find you are not needing as much CodeBot usage as you had thought.

Can I use CodeBot for Delphi w/ Just a One-Off Credit Package?

No. An active Subscription to CB/D or a Suite Subscription (See the separate Suite Subscription FAQ) that covers Delphi is required to run the CodeBot for Delphi client inside the IDE. This license for the software itself is independent of the credits.

You can use standalone credit packages to extend your coverage, or to join with other versions of CodeBot.

What Other Perks Do I Get?

As part of your CodeBot for Delphi subscription, you also get the following additional benefits:

  • CodeBot CLI is a command-line version of CodeBot that comes in handy if you cannot or don't want to work in the Delphi IDE. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux and can be useful for scripting or automating AI tasks, or to use CodeBot in a server environment, for example, to help you deploy an application.

  • GitBrowser, our powerful Git client, is free to use for everyone, but GitBrowser really shines when you connect it to AI. With a CB/D subscription, you can add CodeBot Server as an AI account to GitBrowser and get all the great AI features, such as automatic commit message drafts, change set analysis, merge conflict resolution and much more, without needing a separate AI account.

  • CodeBot Web lets you ask CodeBot for technical help and solve complex problems, right in the browser, at remobjects.com/codebot/web

  • You can also use your CBD credits for CodeBot use in Elements in Water, Fire, or Earth. This is not the recommended way to get the best CodeBot experience – but if your main work is in Delphi and you just want to, e.g., explore Oxygene a bit, it gets you started without needing a separate AI account to use CodeBot.

  • Finally, your CBS credits will also work in our upcoming Campfire AI workspace app for Mac.

Is a Site License Available for CodeBot for Delphi?
