What CodeBot Can See by Default
In Fire and Water, CodeBot starts from the current IDE context.
Depending on the task and settings, CodeBot may be able to use:
- the open Elements solution
- the active project and target
- the active file
- selected code
- build messages
- search results
- debugger state
- files it is allowed to read
- attachments you add to the prompt
CodeBot does not automatically know everything on your machine. It should not assume access to unrelated folders, private accounts, external services, or files outside the current allowed project context.
Some actions require explicit approval or a configured account. These can include editing files, running commands, using external tools, opening URLs, generating media, or accessing account-backed services.
If you want CodeBot to use something specific, name it in the prompt. If you do not want CodeBot to inspect or change files yet, say that too.
