Installing Local AI Providers

Most users of Campfire will work with online AI providers, such as OpenAI (ChatGPT), Anthropic, Google Gemini or Grok. But CodeBot can also connect to local AI models running on your Mac or your local network.

Local AI models usually are not quite as capable or fast as cloud models, but in exchange they work without online AI credits, and also keep all your requests and code on-premises.
